WAS IRS TAX LIEN FILED AGAINST PROLEC GE THE SAME PROLEC WITH RECENT BIG EXPANSION ANNOUNCEMENT?

On Tuesday of last week, Prolec GE celebrated the completion of a $34 million capacity expansion project to its 500,000-square-foot manufacturing project at its Caddo Parish facility. A third production line has been added to manufacture three-phase, pad-mount electrical transformers.

A Notice of Federal Tax Lien was filed in records of Caddo Parish on Nov. 4  in the amount of $120,121.29. The lien is for non-payment of 941 taxes for the tax period ending Dec. 31, 2023.

The named taxpayer is Prolec GE USA LLC.

941 taxes are federal income taxes that are withheld from employee paychecks.
Efforts to reach a public information officer at the local plant on Friday and today were unsuccessful.

The Louisiana Secretary of State website shows that PROLEC GE USA LLC has its principal office here  in Shreveport at 7000 West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, which is the same address reflected on the IRS tax lien. The website also reflects that the principal business office is at the same Industrial Loop address.
